BRITWAY Underfloor Power Track |
|
UNDERFLOOR POWER TRACK The Britway underfloor power track system consists of a series of fully enclosed single phase busbar module units and is designed to be assembled direct onto the floor slab of a cavity floor installation. The units are available in a selection of standard lengths, all compatible with standard floor module and cavity floor trunking sizes. Each length has a facility at regular intervals to accept a pre-wired tap off unit for connection to either a remote mounted floor access box or direct to a work station. To complete the product range, the power track units are complemented by a minimum of basic components, an incoming cable feeder unit, a track interconnector for joining lengths of track together and a stop end to complete the track run. |

POWER TRACK MODULES The power track module is a 63A 3 wire single phase busbar unit with the facility to accept a tap off unit at intervals of 300mm, these allow the removal or addition of tap off units without the need to isolate the complete system. The socket comprises a fully shuttered entry, protected when out of use by a dust cover with a retaining cord. The tap off units are retained by an automatic built-in dual operated locking device which prevents accidental removal. A purpose designed and built 63A 4 wire clean earth single phase busbar unit is also available. This is colour coded and has a non-interchangeable pin configuration to ensure accidental mixing of services does not occur. |

TAP OFF PLUGS The standard tap off unit comprises a 32A unfused plug fitted with 3m of 4mm2 PVC cable in a 16mm flexible metal conduit. Where lengths longer than 3m are required, a 13A fused tap off unit is fitted and wired with the appropriate length of 2.5mm2 PVC cable. The 16mm flexible metal conduit is terminated with a 20mm adaptor to suit the more readily available and accepted knockout size. Special attention has been paid to the fitting of the flexible conduit to the plug and to the cable gland, additional unique locking devices are fitted to ensure the conduit cannot work loose to expose the cables or to interfere with the earth continuity. |
